Online Physics Olympiad
The Online Physics Olympiad (OPhO) is a widely participated, team-based international physics competition held online annually since its launch in 2020. Teams of 1–3 high school or undergraduate students complete an Open Contest of numerical physics problems over five days. Top teams are invited to the Invitational Contest, a multi-day Olympiad‑style round with handwritten or LaTeX solutions evaluated by judges.
Eligibility Criteria for Opho
Open to high school and university students worldwide. Teams may consist of up to three members. University participants are placed in a separate division and ineligible for main prizes.
How to apply for Opho
Register online via the official OPhO website. Teams sign up and participate in the multi-day Open Contest. Top performers receive email invitations to the Invitational Contest, where they submit full solutions.
