Spotlight on Future Innovators: EUCYS 2025 – Europe’s Premier Young Science Fair
The European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) is an annual international science fair organized by the European Commission. First-prize winners from each country’s national science contests are nominated to present their independent research projects in Riga (15–20 September 2025). Participants deliver posters and oral presentations before an expert jury, earning awards and networking opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria for EUCYS

First-prize winners of eligible national science competitions, selected by your country’s official coordinator.

Ages between 14 and 20 (must not have begun tertiary education).

Projects may be done individually or in teams (max 3 members per team, up to 6 participants per country).

Nominated by national organizers; each country may nominate up to 3 projects.
How to apply for EUCYS

Participate and win your national science fair’s first prize.

National organizer nominates your project to EUCYS.

Prepare a poster, written summary, and short project video (if required).

Attend the international forum in Riga (posters, interviews, presentations).

No direct individual registration—eligibility is via nomination only.
