The Ocean Awareness Contest is hosted annually by Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs. Student participants explore the theme through diverse mediums (art, writing, film, music, digital story). Each submission includes a reflection statement. Winners are chosen by age division and featured globally in Bow Seat’s exhibition.
Eligibility Criteria for OAC
- 
Open globally to youth aged 11–18, divided into Junior (11–14) and Senior (15–18) divisions.

Must be enrolled in middle or high school (or homeschool equivalent).
 - 
Individual or group submissions allowed; sponsor (teacher/mentor/guardian) required. Participants under 13 need parental consent.
 
How to apply for OAC

Sign up and create an account on the official submission platform.

Choose your medium and theme sub‑topic (e.g. resilience, healthy environments).
 - 
Submit your creative piece plus a 100–300 word reflection statement.
 - 
Include sponsor info and consent if needed.
 -
