GENIUS Olympiad is an international high school project competition focused on global environmental issues and promoting sustainability. It encourages students to develop creative solutions across various disciplines, including Science, Art, Creative Writing, Engineering, Design, Business Development, Robotics, AI, Short Film, and Speech.

Eligibility Criteria for Genius Olympiad

  1. High School Students: Open to students in grades 8-12 (or equivalent) from any country.
  2. Age Requirement: Minimum age for participation is 13 years old.
  3. Chaperone Requirement: Students younger than 17 must have an adult chaperone (teacher, parent, or guardian) for in-person participation. Students 17 or older and still in high school can participate without a chaperone.
  4. Project Limit: Each student may present only one project, even if multiple projects are submitted and accepted

How to apply for Genius Olympiad

  1. Online Application: All applications are made online through the official GENIUS Olympiad website.
  2. Project Submission: Students develop a project related to environmental issues within one of the nine disciplines (Science, Art, Creative Writing, Engineering, Design, Business Development, Robotics, AI, Short Film, Speech).
  3. Application Fee: $50 USD per project (non-refundable). This fee must be paid before the application deadline for the project to be considered.
