ICYS: International Conference of Young Scientists (Secondary School Level)
ICYS is a long-running international competition for individual secondary students. Each participant prepares a research report and presents it in a 10-minute talk followed by Q&A. Hosted annually in different countries, ICYS gathers students to engage in research, presentation, and peer exchange across scientific disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria for ICYS

Students aged 14–18 (or equivalent secondary school level).

Individual participants present in one of the tracks: physics, mathematics, computer science, or ecology.

Research must be original, presented in English, and include a well-structured report and oral presentation.

Participants are typically nominated by national organizers or school coordinators.
How to apply for ICYS

Contact your country’s official ICYS representative or through national scientific education bodies.

Submit your research abstract or full report in advance.

Attend the conference with up to six student delegates and two leaders per nation.

Pay any required registration fees, and prepare for oral presentation.
