The International Physics Competition (IPhyC) 2026 is now open for global participation! This is a world-wide physics challenge designed for high school and university students who are passionate about physics, problem-solving, and scientific thinking.

IPhyC goes beyond the typical classroom experience by presenting real-world physics problems and research-oriented challenges. Participants compete across multiple rounds — including qualification, semi-final, and final rounds — allowing students to test their conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and creativity in physics.

All participants receive official certificates, and top performers are awarded certificates and  1500$ worht cash prizes. This competition is a valuable opportunity for students seeking academic recognition, deeper physics engagement, and global scientific exposure.

Registration is free for qualification round, but you need to pay 12 euro application fees for other rounds. However, full financial and partial financial scholarships are available.

🧠 Eligibility Description – International Physics Competition (IPhyC)

The International Physics Competition (IPhyC) is open to current high-school and university students from anywhere in the world. To participate, you must be officially enrolled as a student in a high school, college, or university at the time of the competition.

Participants are placed into three age categories based on their grade and age at the deadline of the qualification round:

  • Junior: Students in 10th grade or below (and under 16 years of age)

  • Youth: Students in 11th–13th grade (and under 19 years of age)

  • Senior: Students in 1st year university and above (or 19+ years old)

Your grade and age on the submission deadline of the Qualification Round determine your category for the entire competition.

To be eligible, you should also be able to work in English or another supported language, since competition materials and communication are provided primarily in English (and other language options where available).
