KMC Scholarship: Kathmandu Metropolitan Academic Scholarship Program
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City Scholarship supports top-performing SEE graduates in Kathmandu to continue their education in institutional (private) schools. Selection is through a multiple-choice entrance exam, and the scholarship fully covers tuition for two years (Grades 11 & 12). It includes reserved quotas for students from community schools, residential wards, special groups, and landfill-affected areas.
Eligibility Criteria for KMC

Minimum GPA of 1.6 in SEE (Class 10).

Must satisfy at least one of the following:

Completed SEE from a public/community school,

Completed SEE on a 10% scholarship in a private school,

Be a permanent resident of specified wards (e.g. landfill-affected areas).

Residents of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
How to apply for KMC

Apply online via the official KMC portal.

Submit required documents: SEE admit card & mark sheet, citizenship or birth certificate, recent photo, recommendation letters or reservation proof.

Sit for the entrance exam consisting of 100 objective questions: 30 each in Math, Science, and English; 10 in General Knowledge. No negative marking; passing requires ≥ 40%.

Check results and enroll in the assigned institutional school within the timeframe.
