NASO Asteroid Search Training is a citizen science initiative by the Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) in collaboration with international partners. It trains students and enthusiasts to analyze real astronomical data and identify asteroids using professional software. Participants gain hands-on experience in asteroid detection, contribute to global space research, and may even achieve preliminary discoveries recognized by the Minor Planet Center (MPC).
Eligibility Criteria for Asteriod hunt

Anyone interested in asteroid detection can apply: students (school, university), teachers, and other astronomy enthusiasts.

It is not required to already have a team or mentor; NASO can help assign a mentor if needed.
 - 
Technical prerequisites include:
• A laptop or desktop computer (Windows OS, preferably)
• Good internet connection.
• Commitment to attend, learn, and perform hands-on sessions. 
How to apply for Asteriod hunt

Registration
Fill out the NASO registration form for the training. This is individual (not team-only). - 
Fee / Payment
There is a nominal fee for the training session. For example: NRs 1,000 in past trainings.
You will likely need to send proof of payment to confirm your seat. - 
Prepare Prerequisites
As above, make sure you have a Windows machine, stable internet, and enough time to attend sessions. - 
Attend the Training
It will include both an introduction and hands-on sessions. In past trainings, like in June 2020, it was 2 days (about 6 hours total). - 
Receive Certificate
After completing the training, you’ll get a digital certificate from NASO
