Pioneers of Inquiry: Regeneron Science Talent Search
The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) is the oldest and most prestigious research competition in the U.S. for high school seniors. Entries include up to 20-page scientific reports, essays, transcripts, and recommendations. The top 300 scholars are selected in mid‑January—each awarded $2,000—and finalists are flown to Washington, D.C. to compete for the top prizes in March.
Eligibility Criteria for STS

High school seniors (grade 12 or equivalent), primarily U.S. residents; select international students eligible via affiliated schools or institutions.

Submit independent research with original findings.

Must provide a research report, academic transcripts, essays, recommendation letters, and optional test scores.

No group projects—only individual submissions accepted.
How to apply for STS

Complete the online application between June 1 and November 6, 2025.

Upload all components: research report (max 20 pages), project essays, CV/transcripts, and references.

Submit by the November 6, 2025, 8 PM ET deadline.

Late January 2026: Top 300 Scholars announced.
