W8BVC: World of 8 Billion Video Contest – Create, Educate, Inspire

The W8BVC is an annual international competition encouraging students to explore the impacts of human population growth on global challenges. Participants create a 60-second video that highlights a specific issue and proposes a sustainable solution, fostering awareness and action among youth worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria for W8BVC

  • Open to students in grades 6–12 (or international equivalent).

  • Participants must be 13 years or older at the time of submission.

  • Videos must be in English or include English subtitles.

  • Middle school students under 13 must submit a signed parent/guardian consent form.

  • No limit to the number of participants per video; however, one student must be designated as the Lead Producer.

  1. Register on the official contest website.

  2. Create a 60-second video addressing one of the global topics:

    • Child Wellbeing

    • Rainforest Ecosystems

    • Sanitation

  3. Propose a sustainable solution related to the chosen topic.

  4. Connect the issue to human population growth.
