The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is an annual global competition for youth (15–20) organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). National winners — selected through country-level competitions — are invited to present their projects during World Water Week in Stockholm. Finalists are judged by a panel of water experts, and the main prize is awarded by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.
Eligibility Criteria for Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI)

Youth aged 15–20, currently enrolled in secondary school (not at university)

Projects can be carried out individually or in teams of up to two students

Must use a research-oriented approach to address water quality, sanitation, water resources, water management, education, or treatment

National competition nomination is required to qualify for the international stage
How to apply for Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI)

Participate in your country’s national SJWP competition organized by a recognized national body.

Submit a project report (≤20 pages, in English), including an abstract, methodology, results, and references.

If selected nationally, your national organizer will nominate you for the international finals in Stockholm.

Finalists prepare a digital poster and project summary for exhibition and jury review during World Water Week.
